Who We Are
This Privacy Policy covers the website operated by the Ronceverte Lions Club ("we," "us," "the Club"), a chartered Lions Club serving Ronceverte and Greenbrier County, West Virginia. It explains what information we collect through this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you in a few places on this site:
- Contact form. Your name, email, phone number (optional), the reason for reaching out, and your message.
- Member accounts. If you sign in, we store your email address, display name, and, if you choose to upload one, a profile photo. We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in, so we never see or store a password.
- Community service records. If you're a signed-in member, activities, dates, hours, and notes you log, along with any sign-off notes from a club officer.
- Session cookies. A single cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Basketball schedules and league information may be synced from iHOOP iNDEED, a separate platform. That sync only pulls in public schedule information — it doesn't send your information anywhere.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
- To sign you in and show you the right dashboard for your role in the Club
- To track and verify community service hours
- To keep the site secure and working properly
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How We Share Information
We share information only with the service providers that run this site (our hosting platform) and, when necessary, to comply with the law. Club officers with the appropriate role can see contact form submissions, member accounts, and community service records as part of running the Club.
Children's Privacy
This website's member accounts are intended for parents, coaches, and Club members — not for children to sign up directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information through this site from children under 13. Basketball league rosters and team information for our youth programs are managed separately on iHOOP iNDEED.
Data Retention & Security
We keep information for as long as it's needed for the purposes above, or as long as your account remains active. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online system is 100% secure.
Your Choices
You can update your display name and profile photo any time from your member dashboard. To request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, contact us using the details below.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with an updated date at the top.
